Kayak Protection
A keel strip is a protective strip of fiberglass that is 2" wide and is permanently adhered to the keel with resin and gel coat. The keel strip can add many years of life to an otherwise scratched and damaged hull. If you are interested in having a keel strip applied to your boat please call and schedule a time for your boat's keel to be protected from further damage. The keel strip can only be applied to those boats that have a resin base. To see what a keel strip looks like check out the pictures in the Photo Gallery under Keel Strip. The keel strip takes about one week and is only done from March through November. The cost is $175 for single kayaks and $200 for double kayaks.
